Financial Wellbeing Specialist

Financial Wellbeing Specialist

As a St. James’s Place Partner and financial wellbeing specialist company, we deliver educational programmes to help people of all ages to build their financial confidence. Dedicated and informative financial education contributes to a better financial understanding, and wellbeing and brings with it an increased confidence when it comes to money management and investments.

We feel that we have a social responsibility to build better financial futures for everyone, and that better financial education is the way forward.

The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

Having an engaged, motivated, and well-supported workforce is central to all businesses long-term success. A crucial part of a happy workforce is also supporting employees’ financial wellbeing with education. Not only will the provision of financial education help employees personally, but their wellbeing is fundamental to business success.

We are passionate about providing financial education within the workplace, and are accredited to deliver the St. James's Place Financial Education programme. As working hours and locations become increasingly flexible, we can work with you to ensure that the delivery of the programme is done with your employees at the heart. From virtual workshops or 1:1 guidance sessions, to putting financial educational content on your intranet page; we can help.

During the sessions, we encourage attendees to think about their own personal financial circumstances, making it as relevant to them as possible. Some of the topics covered include:

  • Budgeting and saving
  • Getting onto the property ladder or managing your mortgage
  • Protecting yourself and your family
  • Putting money aside for your longer-term goals, such as retirement

Financial Education for Young People

Only 62% of young people report having access to some sort of financial education in school 1. Our aim is to change that.

The Financial Education for Young People programme aims to provide young people with confidence and financial wellbeing through a series of interactive workshops.

Our secondary school programme consists of one-hour workshops aimed at students aged 13-14 and 16-18. Covering topics such as budgeting, saving, borrowing and ‘Your Future,’ all resources have been externally accredited by Young Money and the Money and Pensions Service which endorses their quality.

Our Primary school workshops are aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years old. Each workshop is tailored to the age group of its participants. Children aged 10-11 years are delivered a workshop using Money Matters by RedSTART, and younger children's sessions are book-reading and discussion-based.

There is no charge for our workshops and the children learn key lessons in how to earn, keep and grow their money.
